SOUND OF MUSIC

Walking Tour in Salzburg

Tour Info

Join me on a charming walk through Salzburg’s historic Old Town and discover some hidden corners you’ll instantly recognize from The Sound of Music, the beloved film classic from 1965.

We'll sing a few lines of “Do-Re-Mi” together in the beautiful Mirabell Gardens, enjoy a delicious schnitzel with noodles or a crisp apple strudel, and stroll up to Nonnberg Abbey – a 1,300-year-old monastery where Maria was a novice in real life, not just in the film. Along the way, I’ll share with you both the true story of the Trapp family and the Hollywood version that made them famous. Edelweiss, Edelweiss ….

For those who want to see more, I can also organize a bike tour to visit Leopoldskron and Frohnburg Palaces – two key filming locations. At Hellbrunn Palace, we’ll take a break in the gardens and visit the famous Gazebo, where Liesl sang “Sixteen Going on Seventeen.”

The iconic wedding church, however, is located in the beautiful Lake District – and we can arrange to visit it by private coach or minivan.

Salzburg is a feeling!

A delightful blend of history & creativity, tradition & craftsmanship, nature & cuisine. And especially for foodies – there’s so much to discover here.
